Chapter 1: How to Effectively Avoid Illegal Funds and Prevent Bank Card Freezing
To effectively avoid illegal funds flowing into the platform and reduce user losses, the platform has implemented the following measures to ensure the safety of fiat currency trading. Users must carefully read and follow these rules to maintain a good trading environment:
Account Transfer Rules
During fiat currency transactions, do not accept transfers from accounts that are not in your name. If you receive a transfer from a non-personal account, ensure to return it to the original source.
Handling Transfers with Sensitive Keywords
If you receive a transfer with sensitive keywords in the remarks, it is advisable to filter the funds or return them to the original source. When returning the funds, mark the reason as “mistaken transfer” to minimize risk of risk control or freezing.
Separate Use of Deposit and Withdrawal Cards
Deposit and withdrawal cards should be used separately. Use different cards for receiving and making payments. It is recommended to use multiple personal bank cards for transactions. Particularly note that the risk is higher for deposit cards, so after receiving funds, they should be filtered and transferred to a relatively secure bank card (Note: the deposit card must be bound to the platform).
Fund Management
Do not keep a large amount of funds on commonly used deposit cards for extended periods. After using a card for a while, transfer out the funds and stop using the card for a period to reduce the risk of large amounts of funds being frozen due to illegal fund contamination.
Card Use Check
Before reusing a card that has been deactivated or not used for a long time, check whether it can normally receive and make payments to avoid discovering the card is frozen after the transaction, leading to unusable funds.
Adhering to these rules helps protect your account security, reduce the risk of frozen funds, and maintain the normal operation of the platform. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
Chapter 2: How to Properly Filter Funds
1.After receiving funds into a bank card, you can transfer the funds to large accounts of financial products such as Alipay’s balance treasure or Yu’e Bao, then filter the funds and transfer them to a secure bank card.
2.After receiving funds into a bank card, you can transfer the funds to some relatively secure financial platforms, then purchase liquid or short-term financial products, and withdraw the funds to another secure bank card upon maturity.
3.After receiving funds into a bank card, you can withdraw the funds and deposit them into a secure bank card (This method is suitable for small transactions).
Chapter 3: Handling Bank Card Freezing
Bank card freezing is mainly divided into two categories: bank freezing and judicial freezing.
Upon freezing, contact your bank to obtain the following information: freezing period, type of freezing (bank freezing/judicial freezing), and the freezing authority.
Article 1: Bank Freezing
1. Reasons for Freezing
•Some countries and regions do not support digital asset trading. If a user engages in digital asset trading with a bank account or if the account involves digital asset transactions (e.g., remarks including BTC, ETH, USDT), the bank may freeze or suspend some transaction permissions due to its risk control system.
•Abnormal activities in the account that trigger the bank’s anti-money laundering system may result in the account being frozen (e.g., large transfers at night, frequent transactions with multiple parties, long periods of inactivity in the account, or remarks with sensitive keywords like virtual currencies).
2. Handling Method
The freezing is often due to abnormal transactions triggering the bank’s risk control system (anti-money laundering system), and the card status usually shows as “suspended account non-counter services” or “receiving only.”
If frozen for the above reasons, visit a bank branch to provide relevant documents (such as identity verification, source of funds, etc.) as required by the bank. After verification, the bank generally will unfreeze the account.
3. Preventive Measures
•When trading with sellers, remind them not to use sensitive terms like USDT, BTC, etc.
•Do not use only one bank card for transactions; use different cards for receiving and making payments and perform fund filtering.
Article 2: Judicial Freezing
1. Reasons for Freezing
Judicial freezing occurs when a victim reports fraud to the police, and the police freeze all related bank accounts where the victim’s funds have flowed.
•Temporary Freezing by Police: 36–72 hours, if the bank card is not directly receiving illegal funds (involving activities like leading pyramid schemes, illegal fundraising, telecom fraud), the freeze will automatically lift after the period ends.
•Long-term Freezing by Police: If the police request a court to freeze the account, the freeze can last from six months to one year, and the period can be extended until the case is concluded or dismissed.
2. Handling Process
Material Preparation
•Essential materials: ID card, recent transaction proof, bank statements (stamped).
•Supporting materials: Proof of income (non-trading, investment income sources), employment proof.
Basic Process
•Case Process: Report to the police station, gather evidence; submit to the anti-fraud center, which will implement the bank account freeze; the case is handed over to criminal investigation or economic crime departments.
•Unfreezing Process: Cooperate with the local police to provide statements and documents; generally, unfreezing will occur within about a week (different regions have different rules; some may unfreeze or release part of the assets upon document submission, while others may only unfreeze after the case is concluded. If a large amount is frozen, apply to freeze only the involved funds).
Unfreezing Operation: Since some cases may involve victims from multiple regions, bank cards may be frozen by police in different areas. After unfreezing, promptly transfer funds to avoid re-freezing.
3. Evidence Collection
•Evidence Information: Generally, includes source of funds, transaction details, user information. For detailed platform fiat currency transaction information, contact customer service.
If evidence or funds need to be obtained through Megabit, judicial proof or court decisions from local judicial authorities must be provided. Contact us directly at help@megabit.vip.
4. Preventive Measures
Fund Filtering
•Recommended: Separate use of deposit and withdrawal cards. After receiving funds in a deposit card, top up Alipay (for larger amounts, choose high-value top-ups) and then transfer to Yu’e Bao (apply for a merchant code to get Yu’e Bao), and transfer from Yu’e Bao to a payment card (currently applicable for amounts within 1.15 million).
Reference: After receiving funds in a deposit card, transfer to a secure financial platform like Lufax, purchase liquid financial products, then unbind the card, rebind a new card, and withdraw to the new card (note: this method has longer processing times and platform risks).
Other Measures
•Do not keep excessive balances on a single card.
•Ensure the payer’s name matches the platform’s real-name system and bank card name.
•Return non-real-name payments with a note: “mistaken transfer.”
